On September 9th, the cultural circles all over the world celebrate the commemoration of the birth of the great Russian writer Lev Tolstoy (1828-1910). Tolstoy was able to achieve great fame as thinker, philosopher and social reformer. He led many battles against wealth and feudalism and even the church. Despite his faith, he refused human mediation between man and God, and was punished by the church. He distributed his wealth on the poor, which caused many disputes between him and his wife.

As an Egyptian citizen, I feel that my developing country has a lot of work to do in order to develop, especially as the situation is too bad on many scales like economy, security and socially. Many resources are wasted in my country including the power of youth that we are in bad need to benefit from! We can’t build our country without achieving our unity. Yet, fanaticism hinders our steps and leads us to more vital losses and affects the sense of belonging to this country very badly. At the time we are in bad need to build our country, we are fighting to issue a law of building churches that tries to keep the Coptic Christians as suffering minority that struggles to achieve freedom of worship.

I don’t talk here about the reaction of the church when choosing to accept the new law of building churches. I’d rather talk about the role of the person or organization that knows how to play politics. In a meeting between this person or organization with the Salafis, they refused the law that was accepted by Abba Paula. Yet, they were told they can manipulate the draft later. After they did, the churches refused it, which strained the atmosphere even more. The same organization held meeting with the church representatives to tell them what happened and to offer a formula of compromise. This was the final law that was passed, but not accepted by the Salafis.

Dr. Ahmad Subhi Mansour says: "If Omar bin Khattab has not accepted to impose Jizya tax on Christians, they would have enjoyed equality with the Arabs. Yet Jizya was imposed on them proving they are less significant and second-class citizens. This was the beginning to persecute the Copts in Egypt. They were called Dhimmis, which became an insult for those who refused to convert to Islam. Christians in Syria, Iraq and Egypt have carried that description for centuries and suffered for long time because of it. Such despise for the Christians was legalized in Islamic holy books, even by false sayings of Prophet Mohammed.

In old times a mother's only job was to take care of her house meaning her husband and kids, they all needed food so she had to cook and this included lot of kitchen side work like washing dishes and sometimes she had to go in the market to buy vegetables and other cooking staff, she had as well keep every thing in the house clean clothes or bed shits carpets and the floor! Sometimes kids would help around as they grow but was not a must it was pure volunteer same holds with the husband some would help and it had nothing to do with men being overworked or tired, it was a pure affection and wanting to be part of his wife's life!

No doubt that the international visit is very important to any president and to any country seeks more development and more progress, however, the time of the visit is very important to be able to achieve what you aim at. Lately, President Sisi went to visit India which is something good in the long run, however, I can’t imagine that a president can go for a visit to India while the parents can’t find milk to their children. I believe that caring about what’s going inside Egypt should be our first priority not outside, especially in that critical time that Egypt suffer from many problems which affects the simple citizen.

There is a special relationship between the Holy Virgin Mary and our countries Egypt. St. Mary indeed loves our country and there are many historical evidence that proves it. His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria in his article "The Virgin Mary and Egypt" talks about three historical accounts that emphasize the close relationship between the Virgin Mary and Egypt. The first story happened in the first century when the angel said to Joseph: "Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be there until I tell you” The trip was very tedious because of transportation. It took more than three years and the holy family blessed the land of Egypt!

A few years ago, the Paralympic Games were held in the US state of Seattle. 9 disabled people participated in the running race. The participants started to run, but a small one fall down and couldn’t complete the race, thus he started to cry out loud. The rest of the participants stopped to see what is happening. All of a sudden, they looked back and decided to go back and help the little boy.

The Wahhabi Salafist sectarian ideology affects the way of thinking of the Egyptian government that is supposed to be civilian. Therefore, the Coptic Christians are insulted and treated unequally with their fellow Muslim Egyptians. The bill of building houses of worship was replaced by the law of building churches, proving that the state can’t treat Muslims and Christians equally in their home country.

After the revolution of July 23, 1952, the headlines of newspapers called to trial those who used their influence and corrupted the political life. Newspapers called to deprive those of citizenship, political rights, and public jobs and compel them to return the money they took. The result was not quite good since corruption increased supported by the successive governments. The same calls were repeated after the revolutions of January 25. Major General Ahmed Abdel Halim, security expert, said that political corruption has a general definition which is violating legality in all its forms. This proves that having a definition for political corruption is very hard. However, we should not think about exceptional laws thinking this is the only way to fight corruption. We have committed this mistake after the retardation of 1967.

When I was just a kid playing with my toy train suddenly it was two pieces and a big melancholy hit me until R.I.P. My uncle with magical hands and moves fixed it back into one whole piece! What a joy erased that melancholy and asked amassed “How you did it?” and his answer hit my brains for years to come “Engineer I am not just a teacher of mathematics!” The obsession begun somehow I knew the faculty of Engineering needs Mathematics and studying did not stop my hobby to dig up any instruments to discover their functionality and that is how I got obsessed with computers and internet!

Recently, The Coptic church addressed that they are along with the Anglican and Catholic Church agreed on the new law for building the churches, however, the main question we have to ask here was there a law for building a church and if there was a law before so what is the difference between that law and the previous law. Unfortunately, I can see a lot of propaganda about the new law and the media and responsible people will try to convince themselves and Coptic community that this law will solve the issue of building a new church and that will stop all the sectarian events that are happing almost every month.

The prescience of Copts in Egypt is considered a shame by some fanatics. The successive governments of Egypt has refused to declare the real population of Copts in Egypt considering it a national security secret that should be known only for Head of the Central Bureau of Statistics and the president. However, the state used to leak some fake numbers from time to another to declare that numbers of the Copts in Egypt are very little comparing to the majority of the Muslims. Yet, naming them minority didn’t mean they can take rights as minorities including protection.

The political leadership of Egypt does not want her to be a leading country, since it may think that being a leading country is important. The Egyptian presidency is negotiating a new deal of 4 French aircrafts to be added to the 24 aircrafts owned by the presidency. This happens as the Egyptian government is facing financial crises and accepting donations from the poor Egyptians. The 24 aircrafts are worth 3 billion LE and the 4 aircrafts are worth 300 million Euros.

Archdeacon Habib Girgis is a well known name in the Coptic Orthodox Church for his great influence and he led educational renaissance in the Coptic Orthodox Church and worked hard for the ministry.

After the Egyptian people decided to produce wheat for the bread, billions of pounds dedicated to subsidized bread were stolen, just like billions of pounds dedicated for the subsidized electricity for factories and homes were stolen as well. The money of Parliament's budget was stolen by members of the Youth and Sports Committee of the parliament who traveled to Brazil at the expense of people, which happened for the first time in history. Billions of dollars dedicated for free treatment of the people were stolen by doctors, nursing staff, and owners of laboratories and radiology. Poor Egyptian people had to pay for their treatment though the service is too bad.

As of today I'll be posting about our Egyptian Traditions they try to kill; Who “they”? Well all intruders that try to kill Egypt! Who are they? Not just British or French occupation or... Those old occupations were already defeated, but their left over like Sykes Picot theories and principals or followers like Muslim Brotherhood the MI6 creation, but to understand the purpose of this series of articles I intend to publish over the following weeks unless a major event deserves my attention, I need to take you back to my childhood and the place my and my sisters were born!

Lately I read in the news that the security in Egypt still negotiate with the Muslims in “ Koom el loof Village” to convince them to all the Christian build the church. Although, it’s not the first time to know that is happening in Egypt, however, I was shocked that the state and the security this time are not shame to tell the media that story. Unfortunately, having this situation means many negative sides, one of them that Egypt is no longer a real state. A real state doesn’t resort to people and take their permission but resort to the law whatever is the consequence.

"I sell myself” is the beginning of a poem from the movie Morgan Ahmed Morgan of the comedian Adel Imam. I used to laugh when watching the part when the poet sadly sells his poem. I remembered this movie when I heard about selling the Egyptian citizenship to non-Egyptians in exchange for their deposits and investments. I live in America, a country that welcomes immigration from all over the world. This big country has a population of about 320 million people, of whom only 2% of Indians or indigenous Americans. Nearly all Americans came from other countries like Europe hoping for better life. They obtain the American citizenship through several steps. The first get the temporary residence then permanent residence through the green card and eventually they obtain the citizenship. They apply for the American citizenship by marrying an American, work, asylum or investment. It takes from 3 to 10 years to obtain the American citizenship depending on the situation and circumstances of each person.

Copts have been waiting for long time to have a law for building and renovation of churches instead of the Ottoman Hamayouni decree issued in the mid-nineteenth century that made it very hard to build and renovate a church. Finally, Coptic churches and the government agreed on the draft of the law. Unfortunately, the law only targeted churches instead of a unified law for houses of worship including mosques. Article No. 64 of the Egyptian Constitution states that freedom of belief and worship are granted and building houses of worship is right for Muslims, Christians and Jews.

This article is not to discuss the football game between the Egyptian and Nigerian teams. This article will rather talk about the date of the match which was changed by Egyptian police at the last minute, which sent a message that Egypt is not safe to tourists who plan to visits it at the anniversary of the dispersal of Rabaa Adawia and Nahda sit-ins. This came after Britain partially lifted the ban to visit Egypt along with Turkey and Russia.
