Dr. Ahmed Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar, said that the relationship between Muslims and Christians is strong and deeply rooted in Egypt, and denied Christians are persecuted in Egypt.
This came during his interview with German Radio and Television during his visit to Germany.
