The Synodical Committee for Mental Health, Of the Holy Synod of the Coptic Orthodox Church holds its first conference to combat addiction in Upper Egypt on April 21 at the monastery of the Virgin Mary in Drunka in Assiut governorate.
The conference is held under the title ‘Heal the diseases of our souls’ and tackles a number of topics, including: spiritual and mental illness, mental disorders and concepts of mental health.
