The Administrative Judicial Court will issue a ruling regarding a lawsuit demanding authorities to shut down Facebook and Twitter on grounds “they are used in inciting violence acts.”
The lawsuit claims that foreign intelligence bodies have used the social media websites since January 25 Revolution to incite protests and violence in Egypt. It also says that these websites are operating without licenses or official surveillance.
In 2015, the same court rejected a call to ban Facebook.
