Sony's PlayStation VR peripheral for the PlayStation 4 is releasing Oct. 13, but you don't have to wait that long to try it out. In an effort to get the mainstream consumer interested in its version of virtual reality, Sony will be bringing demo units to two local Best Buy stores the next three weekends.
Besides giving you a chance to try out the headset and get your bearings using the PS Move controllers in the virtual space, the "VR Experience" will let you demo several upcoming games including "PlayStation VR Worlds," "EVE: Valkyrie," "Battlezone" and more.
The two Best Buys, and the days/hours of the demo:
Best Buy Castleton, 5820 E. 82nd St.
• 1 to 7 p.m. June 24, July 1 and July 8 (i.e. the next three Fridays).
• 12 to 6 p.m. June 26.
Best Buy Greenwood, 562 W. Fry Road
• 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. June 24, July 1 and July 8.
• 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 25-26, July 2-3, July 9-10.
