The Council of Catholic Patriarchs and Bishops in Egypt held its biannual meeting in St. Stephen House in Maadi.
The council appointed Father Rafik Grish as spokesman for the Coptic Catholic Church for one year.
The council also thanked president Abdul Fattah al-Sisi for restoring the churches that were destroyed by supporters of the terrorist group.
