Father Polous Halim, Spokesperson for the Coptic Orthodox Church, said that the Holy Synod is the legislative body that represents the Copts, and refused a claim by some Coptic activists of the right to public participation.
He added that the congregation should trust the bishops of the Holy Synod that they are guided by the Holy Spirit for the good of the church and the people.
