Egyptian Democratic Party rejects calls for retiring Jibali for being woman

Women's Committee of Egyptian Social Democratic Party has issued a statement in which it condemned such attempts to draft some articles in the new constitution aiming at establishing a religious state in Egypt that violates human rights.

It's also condemned that one of the lawyers has recently filed a lawsuit against the State Council demanding the issuance of a court ruling to cancel the presidential decree of the ousted president Hosni Mubarak, to appoint Tahani Jibali as a member of the Supreme Constitutional Court, claiming that such decision is against Article II of the Constitution and against Islamic law.
