Coptic and Catholic churches celebrated today the Day of Love between the two churches, which falls on May 10 of each year.
The celebration of this day began in 2013, with exchanges of congratulations between His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, and Pope Francis of the Vatican, with the aim of strengthening the bonds of relations between the two churches.
On that occasion, Pope Tawadros received a phone call from Pope Francis, in which he expressed his love and appreciation for Egypt and the Egyptians, pointing out that he is praying for the whole world, so that God would save it from the difficult circumstances due to the Corona virus.
