Egypt are considering a friendly proposal from North African Arab neighbours Tunisia to prepare for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Ghana.
The Pharaohs have drawn the Black Stars for the second successive time.
The North African will play two friendly games against Guinea and South Africa.
"The Egyptian Football Association has received an official fax from their Tunisian counterpart requesting a friendly but the association is yet to decide," Ahram Sports reported on Thursday.
The Black Stars take on the Pharaohs in Cairo in November and they have already started their preparations to seal the group's sole ticket.
The seven-time African champions are in search of a World Cup ticket which has eluded them since featuring at the 1990 finals.
Egypt look like a revived side under Argentine coach Hector Cuper who led them to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals.
