The Nasr City Misdemeanor Court has postponed the blasphemy trial of Sheikh Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud Abdallah, also known as Abu Islam; his son, Islam, for contempt of Christianity and tearing a copy of the Bible.It’s worth mentioning that Abu Islam and his son had been sentenced to 11 years for tearing up the bible, inciting sedition and being threat to peace and public security.
Their lawyer tried to claim that this copy of the Bible that was destroyed is different from the one the Coptic Christians believe in, which was ignored by the court.
