Eng. Adly Yousef Abadeer

It is not a goodbye message; it is a greeting message to great man who made a difference. I am writing my words in English, simply because I communicated with my dearest friend Eng Adly in English, one of his gifts the ability to speak number of languages fluently and with high quality of vocabulary to give the right message. Adly Abadeer is not dead, his body is not with us anymore, and his sprit will live throughout the days. His achievements (he called it his duties) will light the torch for so many people to lead the way. He was humble in everything and in every way. He was on a mission and indeed he completed his mission. He lived for almost 90 years, however his work is equal to four warriors lived for 90 years each. Indeed he was a warrior, he had the need of the Copts in his mind and heart, and he worked hard for the needs and rights of the Copts in Egypt. I asked him one day, “What are you trying to achieve?”  His words were simple, strong and effective, he said “I want to empower the Copts all over the world to take charge of their own destiny” Well, did he do it? All you need to do is to see how the awaken of the Copts has been effective since Adly Yousef Abadeer took charge in 2004 with the 1st Copts symposium, the rouse in the young and old Copts in Egypt and outside Egypt was beyond any imagination. Today when I say to my leader and teacher, rest in peace, I am also saying I will miss you and miss you laughter. I will miss your energy and your strength. Nothing was impossible for Adly, if there is a will there is a way, he lived by that and that is why he was able to achieve what he wanted to achieve. I have a shrine in my heart for Mr Yousef that will keep me aware of the rights of the poor and unfortunate humans in the world. Mr Yousef, rest and enjoy the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ
