A mini-buS carrying holidaysmakers flipped over late Monday in the Upper Egyptian Governorate of Minya, killing at least four people and injuring 17, the police said yesterday.
The accident occurred when the brakes on the speeding bus failed as it travelled on a desert road linking Minya City to the village of Sheikh Massoud, the police added. Four of the victims died instantly, the police said, adding that most of the injured were in serious condition. Road mishaps in Egypt are among the world?s highest. They are blamed on reckless driving and poorly kept roads.
