Acquitted or condemned
The Lord Jesus taught us that words that come out of the mouth either justify and save him or destroy man and lead him to hell.  For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.  (Matthew 12: 37).

Fahter John Nassif, priest of the Church of Our Lady in Chicago, said in his article about speech that it reveals the inner goodness of man or his evil. A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

Our words indeed affect other people either positively or negatively. On the one hand, it reveals an internal weakness and lack of self-denial virtue, desire to take possession and self-expression. On the other hand, a lot of talking is likely to bring a lot of mistakes.

There are several things in which we control the tongue: we should think a little before we speak or respond, also train yourself to choose your words carefully and calmly since the bible tells us to avoid stupid and ridiculous discussions, Knowing that they generate discounts.

Many saints told us to avoid sins of the tonge like St. Isaac the Syriac who says:  He who speaks good and bad to the people, does not qualify for the grace of God . We may realize the Godly man by his silence. st. Bemen says: he who spend a lot of time with men cannot escape from gossip. Let us acquire this virtue that many saints acquired including the great St. Mary.
