Anti-human trafficking legislation approved in Egypt
The Egyptian Shura Council approved on Sunday legislation that opposes human trafficking in principle.
For his part, a speaker of Egypt's Shura Council Safwat el-Sherif said that "Human trafficking has become the third largest illegal business in terms of profits after arms dealing and narcotics"
El Sherif said "The World Labor Organization says more than half a million women and one million boys and girls under the age of 18 are forced to engage in prostitution activity all over the world"

He added that "Thousands of children are used by terrorists for suicide attacks or mine fields detection"

El Sherif said "And there are a million homeless children on the streets of Egypt that are prone to such abuse"
