Elmal Egyptian newspaper highlighted several acts of racial description against the Copts in Egypt in several jobs.
The newspaper published that a famous clothing shop in Egypt announced its need to hire drivers provided that they save the holy Quran by heart, which means that Copts can’t apply for them.
Haitham Mohamadeen, member of the revolutionary socialists party, said that the new civil service law grants the Muslims one paid month to travel as pilgrims to Makkah, while Christians are not granted the same right to travel to Jerusalem. The news paper considered such acts as racial discrimination against the Copts and treating them as second-class citizens.
