Quiet streets in Cairo on Friday despite protest call
Cairo's main squares and streets were quiet on Friday apart from the intense presence of security forces, despite anonymous calls for protests which have circulated widely in the past few weeks.
According to Al-Ahram news website, there were dozens of arrests during small protests across Egyptian governorates.
The governor of Cairo and the director of Giza security directorate have been carrying out to check on the security conditions, Al-Ahram reported.
