Yemeni President Abd-Rabo Mansour Hadi congratulated his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on his re-election in a phone call on Wednesday, Egypt s presidential spokesperson Bassem Rady said in a statement.
During the phone call, Hadi reaffirmed Yemen s intention to further develop the two countries mutually beneficial cooperation in many areas.
Hadi told El-Sisi that he values the supportive role that Egypt has been playing for the stability of Yemen.
He has also stressed on his county s keenness towards its strong relations with Egypt and coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual interest.
Egypt has been continuously supporting the unity and stability of Yemen, asserting that there is no military solution for the ongoing crisis, instead insisting that a comprehensive political settlement is needed to end the conflict.
