The 26th Festival for Theatre Clubs will open on Sunday in the presence of Culture Minister Helmy El-Namnam and head of the General Authority for Culture Palaces Ashraf Amer.
The festival will run between 10 and 22 September at El-Samer Theatre in Agouza, Cairo.
The opening will include a play titled Masrahna Nawady (Our Theatre is Clubs) directed by Mohamed El-Ashry, as well as the play Taer (Bird) directed by Omar Hassan and written by Mahmoud Gamal.
The festival will present 21 plays performed by troupes from 17 theatre clubs from cities around Egypt.
All performances are held at El-Samer Theatre in Agouza at 7pm.
