Roma coach Spalletti extols returning Salah

As Roma coach Luciano Spalletti lavished praise on Mohamed Salah after the Egyptian winger led Roma to a 2-0 win over Crotone on Sunday.

The 24-year-old displayed one of his trademark efficient displays, creating two goals for Edin Dzeko and Radja Nainggolan. He also won a penalty early in the game but it was wasted by Dzeko.

“It’s great to have him back – he’s showed what he can do straight away. When he has the ball at his feet he bears down on you and when you try to tackle him he skips away like he did for the second goal," Spalletti said after the game.

"Any team would love to have a player with that ability and now that we have him back we don’t want to let him go again!” he added.

Salah has been away for a month as he led Egypt to the final of the Africa Cup of Nations, only miss out on his first major title following a 2-1 defeat by Cameroon on 5 February

Roma are second in the Serie A table with 53 points, four adrift of leaders Juventus who still have a game in hand.
