Usain Bolt supports Sundowns ahead of clash with Zamalek

Six-time Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt has showed his support for South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns ahead of their CAF Champions League final game against Egyptian giants Zamalek, the Confederation of African Football announced on their official Facebook page.

Zamalek are set to face Sundowns in the CAF’s Champions first leg league final in Pretoria on Saturday, with the return leg taking place at Alexandria's Borg El-Arab Stadium a week later.

The official CAF Facebook page published a photo of the Jamaican sprinter carrying a Mamelodi Sundowns' jersey, commenting that “the fastest man on earth is showing his support to Mamelodi Sundowns FC ahead of the #CAFCL Final, who is Supporting Zamalek SC?”

Sundowns have participated in the CAF Champions League seven times, reaching the Champions League final in 2001 where they lost to Egyptian giants Ahly 4-1 on aggregate, including a 3-0 away defeat in the second leg.

Zamalek have a brilliant history in the continental prestige tournament with 18 participations and five title wins.

The team last played a Champions League final in 2002, when they won their fifth title.
