Zamalek interim coach Moemen Soliman voiced confidence regarding his side's mission in the final phase of the CAF Champions League, saying his players are determined to win the title.
Zamalek reached their first Champions League semis in 11years after defeating Nigerian side Enyimba in Cairo on Monday.
Second of group B, they will face group the A leaders, who are not yet determined as Moroccan side Wydad and ZESCO of Zambia are battling to win the group summit.
"We have a good chance in the African competition," Zamalek's 42-year-old coach told the club's official website on Thursday.
"We will do our best in the coming encounters to win the title and to qualify for the club World Cup."
Asked about what team he prefers to face in the semis, the coach revealed that his side is ready for any opponent.
"Wydad or ZESCO, I don't care. We are looking to win the title, so we have to overcome any opponent."
Soliman, who took charge of the team earlier this month after the resignation of coach Mohamed Helmy, became the club's hero after guiding the White Knights to win the Egypt Cup at the expense of Archrivals Ahly before going through to the Champions League semis.
He explained how he succeeded in putting the team back on the right track after losing the league title and two consecutive defeats in the Champions League.
"It was a very difficult period, but we managed to deal with all difficulties and I think the team are now on the right track. I thanked the club's management for its support and the players for their great effort."
Soliman also said that he is very optimistic about the club's future.
"We have all the requirements for success, and I am sure the future will be better," he concluded.
When asked about his future with the club, given that despite his recent success the club's management opened talks with several foreign coaches to lead the team's technical staff, Soliman said that he is ready to work at his boyhood club in any position.
