All diving and water sports were suspended in the Red Sea resort cities of Hurghada and El-Gouna Thursday due to unstable and bad weather conditions, Egyptian news websites reported.
All marine trips to coral reef areas and to Red Sea islands around Hurghada and El-Gouna were also suspended based upon the instructions of the Egyptian Meteorological Authority to the Red Sea governorate and Chamber of Red Sea Diving.
Already the Red Sea Ports Authority continued for the fifth consecutive day its closure of Hurghada port, suspending navigation between Egypt's Safga Port and Saudi Arabia's Duba Port due to bad weather conditions in the area.
