President Hosni Mubarak held talks Sunday with the US chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Mile Mullen, and the African Union's Darfur Committee members.
Mubarak discussed means to resolve Darfur crisis and support for peace between north and south Sudan with the African Committee of Darfur, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported Sunday.
It added that the committee members comprised former South African president Thabo Mbeki and Burundi's former president Pierre Buyoya.
Later in the day, Mubarak held talks with the US military chief who started a Middle East tour that Arab media reports say was focused on concerns about Iran's nuclear programme.
