Vodafone Egypt topped the list of telecommunications companies with the fastest growing revenues in 2017. According to sources in the communications sector, the Vodafone Egypt s revenue growth reached 19%, while Etisalat came second with 18%, followed by Orange with 6%.
Vodafone Egypt topped the list of most profitable telecom companies, with a profit growth rate of 45% in 2017, versus 44% in 2016.
Etisalat Egypt came second with a profit growth of 39.2%, up from 39% in 2016, followed by Orange with 28% in 2017, down from 30% in 2016.
According to sources, Vodafone holds the highest value of the communications market, accounting for 44% of the market s value in 2017, up from 43% in 2016, followed by Etisalat with 28.4%, up from 27.7% in 2016.
Orange Egypt controls 27% of the market s value, compared to 30% in 2016, while Telecom Egypt s share of the market s value reached only 0.2%.
Vodafone Egypt has the most mobile phone users in Egypt, accounting for 38% of them, followed by Etisalat with 31% and Orange with 29%, while Telecom Egypt accounts for 2%.
