Egyptian champions Ahly have confirmed that they have accepted Stoke City's offer for their highly-rated youngster Ramadan Sobhi, announcing he will be flying to England for his trial within two days.
The English Premier League side have reportedly tabled an improved 6 million euro offer to land the 19-year-old, leaving the Red Devils with little maneuvering options despite their desire to keep hold of the Egyptian international.
Stoke beaten off competition from Italian side Udinese to lure Sobhi, who came through the youth ranks of Ahly and has quickly become a fan darling.
He has scored five league goals and created eight others as Ahly claimed their ninth league title in 10 seasons, tormenting defenders with his neat footwork and impressive ability to skip past challengers in one-on-one situations.
Sobhi was also instrumental in Egypt's qualification for next year's African Cup of Nations finals for the first time since 2010.
Sobhi, who headed to the UK embassy on Sunday to go through visa procedures, has been dropped from the team's squad against Wydad Casablanca of Morocco, with the home and away games scheduled for 16 and 27 July.
The team will play on Tuesday their Egypt Cup round 16 match against Haras El-Hodoud.
