Two more Egyptians qualify for Rio Olympics: Kingfut.com

 
Egyptian swimmer Reem Kassem has qualified for the 10km swimming marathon in the Rio 2016 Olympics, while Anas Beshr will compete in the 400m track event. Kassem clocked 2:00:13.20 in the women’s 10km race at the FINA marathon swimming Olympic Games qualification tournament in Setubal, Portugal on Saturday.

Zamalek kept their Egyptian Premier League hopes alive with a 3-2 victory against Ittihad El-Shorta Saturday. Despite a late scare from El-Shorta’s Saied Kamal and Salah Rico who secured a goal each, Zamalek sent their opponents to the second division. El-Shorta became the third team to suffer relegation, after Haras El-Hodood and Ghazl El-Mahalla, and are currently placed third from bottom with 22 points, ten behind Aswan with three matches to go.

Al-Ahly striker Amr Gamal will miss Monday’s Egyptian league match against the Port Said based Al-Masry due to nose surgery, Ahram Sport reported on Saturday. “Gamal will undergo minor surgery on his nose on Sunday and won’t be available for Monday’s league match against Al-Masry,” Ahram Sport explained.
