Three "terrorists" were killed in a security crackdown in North Sinai on Tuesday, an army spokesperson said in a statement published on armed forces official page.
The army also arrested six wanted extremists and destroyed an SUV vehicle along with 16 motorcycles used by them in their attacks on security forces, the spokesperson added.
Army and police forces have been cracking down on extremists and militants that have been targeting security elements and installations in Sinai since the ouster of former President Mohamed Mursi in July 2013.
