Members of the Britain First party protested Saturday in front of the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters in London, to urge the expulsion of the group from England, according to its website.
The group has also previously protested various other issues related to foreign and Muslim migrants in Britain, having protested a Muslim cemetery in Catherine-de-Barnes, near Solihull last week, according to BBC.
The group also referred to Islam as “perhaps the most fascist and oppressive ideology you [can] imagine.”
“This terrorist organization should not be allowed to establish a foothold in Britain, they are not welcome here, we are not the island where jihad will be allowed to thrive,” the group said in a statement on its website.
The group, founded by the far-right British National Party in 2011, pledged to stand against what it called a “radical Islamist nightmare in Britain,” including “preachers of hate” like Anjem Choudary and “terrorist” organizations like the Brotherhood.
The group also criticized the group Unite Against Fascism for allying with “extremists who are more repressive and who represent fascist ideology,” in its statement. UAF stood in front of the MB headquarters during the protest.
The party is known for its sharply pro-British and anti-immigrant stances, and states on its website that, “We want [British] people to come first, before foreigners, asylum seekers or migrants and we are overtly proud of this stance.”
The party also adopts a firm religious ideology, stating that, “Christianity in Britain is under ferocious assault: many Christians now face discrimination and persecution because of their beliefs in many areas such as employment, business, and adoption.”
