Eastern Bishops of all Christian denominations held a meeting in Sydney on Tuesday. Patriarch Abraham Isaac, patriarch of the Coptic Catholic Church in Egypt, delegated Father Andraws Faraj, patron of the Coptic Catholic Church in Sydney, to attended the meeting that discussed the importance of activating the ecumenical dialogue and the language of love. The meeting also discussed the issue of immigrants in Australia and how to help them in Australia, especially those from Armenia, Iraq and Syria.

President Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi received today Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of St. Mark See, with the delegation of World Coptic youth Forum. Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency said that the President welcomed the young people participating in the first World Forum of Coptic Orthodox Youth from different continents of the world, which seeks to link Egyptian immigrants and their children from the new generations to their homeland.

Participants of the World Coptic Youth Forum visited the Giza Pyramids today an expressed their admiration to the great ancestors who build that civilization. 200 Coptic youth from all over the world participate at the very first forum and they are visiting Egypt for the first time.

Coptic businessman Naguib Sawiris participated in the World Youth Conference held in the Papal headquarter in Wadil Natroun. Sawiris talked about several successful people who lived in Egypt. For his part, Pope Tawadros honored Sawiris for his participation and offered him a gift.

A new priest of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Pope Kyrillos in Leidschendam, the Netherlands, was ordained this week.

Father Yoel Al-Maqari explained important information about the recent events at the monastery of Abu Makar in Wadil Natroun. Yoel said that the problem was not ideological or theological as promoted by some people. Instead, he assured that some people couldn t show commitment to the strict rules of the monastery.

In his weekly sermon, Pope Tawadros II mourned Bishop Epiphanius, head of St. Makar monastery and described him as faithful and great example. He added that the late bishop was great example of a bishop, monk and teacher.

In his speech at the funeral of Bishop Epiphanius, head of St. Makar monastery in Wadil Natrun, Pope Tawadros II said that the late bishop was very wise and modest. He added that we can learn a a lot from the late bishop, but above all we know that he trusted in the Lord and he was very simple.

After his funeral was attended by dozens of bishops led by His Holiness Pope Tawadros II, Bishop Epiphanius was buried in his monastery. His body was laid in a special shrine dedicated for the monks and called the Tafous

American Embassy offered its sincere condolences in the murder of Bishop Epiphanius, head of St. Makar monastery. It said in a statement Our hearts go out to the Coptic Orthodox Church and to all Egyptians on the tragic death of His Grace Bishop Epiphanius. The Bishop was well known to us as a learned and pious person. We wish him peace and rest .

Pope Tawadros II has delivered his weekly sermon this week from the church of St. Mina at the Monastery of St. Anthony in Austria. Pope talked about how to encourage our children to be holy. Pope said that we celebrate this month the feasts of several saints whose biography can teach and encourage us to be holy.

Abba Timothaous, Bishop of Zagazig, inaugurated the church of St. Philopatrir and St. Karas in Zagazig last Saturday. Bishop Timothaous has recently inaugurated the baptism of Archangel Michael church in Zagazig and St. George church in Kafr Youssef village.

The Feast of Saints Peter and Paul or Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul is a liturgical feast in honour of the martyrdom in Rome of the apostles Saint Peter and Saint Paul, which is celebrated by Eastern Orthodox, Oriental Orthodox and Eastern Catholic Christians.

The Church of St. Mary in Geneva launched a new app in French entitled Follow me or suis moi and includes several books of the prayers inside the Coptic church and an index for the churches of the diocese and is issued in Android and OS versions. The name of the app is taken from the annual youth conferences organized by the diocese of Southern France.

Abba Pfnotius, Bishop of Samalut, opened a shrine for the belongings of martyrs of faith and homeland in Libya in their cathedral in Awar village. The shrine includes their bodies, clothes, handcuffs as well as their documents.
