Rafik Gresh, spokesperson of the Catholic Church in Egypt said Pope Francis asked the faithful to join him in praying for an end to the violence that rocked Cairo.
“Let us pray together for peace, dialogue and reconciliation in that beloved land and in the whole world”
Gresh denied that Pope Francis has mentioned a massacare by security forces in Egypt as claimed by some people.
He talked about clashes between security forces and Muslim Brotherhood supporters.
