Egyptian education

It's said here in Egypt that the Egyptian children are of the smartest children all over the world, but not for so long. As he or she goes to school, he is turned into a device to save the information just to recall it in exams, as this is the only way to get high grades. It doesn't matter if they forget all information after the exams, and most probably they do!

I remembered this upon watching the interview of president Morsy with anchor Amr al-Leithy, which was broadcasted last Monday. He was just like a student who save the answers, which he doesn't understand, by heart, and keeps repeating the answers that he saves.

Amr repeated a question that he asked before for Dr. Mohammed Morsy during his electoral campaign. “What will you do if the people ask you to leave? There are many people already do now” Amr said. “There is difference between the opinion of some people and the will of the people... I am going to take the hardships in stride” president Morsy answered.

Great! Great! This means that it was people will when demonstrators told president Mubarak to step down, but it's just an opinion to tell president Morsy to do exactly the same.

In fact, I don't blame president Morsy for not understanding what people say, I just blame the Egyptian education that teaches them how to save and recall without even understanding.
