The Beginning of an Assassination

What happened in Tunisia lately with the assassination of Shokry Bal Aeid is by no means similar of what is happening in Egypt.

Egypt has taken part in assassination far before Tunisia. The killing of Mohammed Guindi, the stripping of a person in front of the presidential palace, and the taking away of women’s rights, is assassination! Furthermore, those who believe in the Muslim Brotherhood taking power and being a responsible government are ignorant.

The question we should be asking right now is: when will the Muslim Brotherhood recognize that they are a failure? Also, when will they recognize that Egypt is beyond their measure? Egypt’s power cannot be contained by any religious group, especially one that is as extreme as the previously mentioned brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood is a bloody group and history shows the numerous times they used violence to reach to attain their goals. Violence for the Muslim Brotherhood is unavoidable and it is only a matter of time before we witness that. Those who believe the Muslim Brotherhood is peaceful group lives in a dream.

An analysis of the current situation shows how much the Muslim Brotherhood left Egypt to live in chaos. The struggle the Muslim Brotherhood may be facing should be seen as a duty not as a luxury. All political powers should be united to face this threat. The Muslim Brotherhood is threated our past, our history and alas is threatening our future.

It is an objective statement to say the Muslim Brotherhood offers nothing but lies and will continue to lie until they destroy Egypt. The message that should be addressed to the nation is: move now before the time is over, move now before the ship sinks, move now before they kill us spiritually and physically, and most importantly, move now before we are out of the court.

The point is not who is taking the power, but who could bear it effectively. This power must be managed away from conflict, violence, damage, distrust, and dishonesty. Is the Muslim Brotherhood able to do that?!!!

The fact that Mohamed Morsy is insisting to launch the parliamentary elections on the 27th of April is also an example of the assassination. The Muslim Brotherhood is using this election to kill any attempt at having a real conciliation between the political powers in Egypt.

It is no coincidence that this particular date falls on the day of the Coptic Christian feast. By holding elections on this date, the Muslim Brotherhood is depriving Christians to participate and express their opinion fairly.

Now, the political powers and movements face the challenge of participating in the elections, or boycotting it. This precise decision should be one that is unified. If it is not, death is inevitable for not only the different powers, but of all Egypt.

Political powers should seize the current opportunity of a divided Islamic power by uniting together to achieve victory in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The real question is, however, will the liberal parties catch this opportunity?
