An “Egyptian Wikilix”

Public transportation in Egypt is a good place to chat with people you don’t know, learn more about their lives, and even to fight with them. Couple of days ago, I took the bus. Suddenly, I heard some people arguing about losing Sinai for the Palestinians, and that MB is willing to solve the Palestinian cause even at Egypt’s expense.

I was surprise to find the man sitting next to me trying to attack such Idea by all means, advising other people not to listen to misleading media. He assured that he doesn’t belong to MB, but he finds the idea of losing Sinai for the Palestinians is totally awkward, and there is even no proof for it, he added.

I couldn’t but intervene and asked him about his evaluation for the performance of MB in power. They’re doing well, but the people have to work in order to achieve something, he said. I asked him about the escalating economic problems and the crazily increasing prices. He said: “It’s all about greedy people taking advantage of our current surroundings”.

However he seemed well-informed, I couldn’t understand how come he simply ignores all facts including the ones that all Egyptians face on daily basis. He simply went with the president who denied we have inflation, and assured that our economy is getting better! This man only thinks that Morsy is the legitimate elected President that should be given a chance.

At that moment, I wished I had some reference with a number of documents to show this fool that we have a killing serious problem, to tell him: there is no use supporting MB rule over a ruined country, and to expose MB before its naïve supporters.

Why don’t we have an “Egyptian Wikilex” to archive our topics and document them in a way that helps exposing MB and their lies. We may include videos, audio, pictures and documents that presents the truth clearly before our people. This may require a lot of work, and indeed many volunteers are needed!
