Mohammed al-Zawahiri, leader of Salafist jihadism، told Copts United that jihad operations against the Zionist entity is an Islamic duty for every Muslim. He explained saying: the Zionists are rapists of Islamic lands and killers of women, children and the elderly.
Al-Zawahiri added: the attack on a patrol belongs to the Zionist entity, in order to take revenge for Prophet Mohammed or for the jihadist Ibrahim Ewida who was killed by Mossad agents, is a true and acceptable jihad according to the Islamic Law.
