Many Christian and Muslim farmers in Beni Suef used to celebrate Palm Sunday by selling palms to the Copts in front of the churches and near their houses. Christians of Egypt are used to celebrating the Palm Sunday by holding palms in churches as well as making crosses, rings and other figures made of palms.
Gergis Shenouda, palm seller said that he used to selling palms during the celebration of Palm Sunday for couple of days. He makes different toys of the palm and sell them like hearts, crosses, watches and bread.
