Adli's trial adjourned to August 3

CAIRO – Cairo Criminal Court in New Cairo adjourned on Monday the trial of the ex-interior minister Habib el-Adli and six of his aides who are charged with killing protesters in Tahrir Square in the January 25 revolution, the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported. 

The trial has been annexed to that of ousted president Hosni Mubarak, his two sons Alaa and Gamal and tycoon Hussein Salem to be held on August 3.   
   Early in the day, the families of January 25 revolution martyrs staged demonstrations outside the court, calling for tough punishment of el-Adli and his aides. 
   Judge Abdel-Salam Gomaa,in charge of el-Adly case prevented  private TV channels from airing the trial only allowing the the State-owned TV channels such right. Meanwhile, Gomaa will be replaced by judge Ahmed Refaat in the hearing of August 3.
