Egyptian club Ittihad of Alexandria got a first leg advantage after beating Alarabi of Kuwait 1-0 away in the Arabian Champions Cup (Mohamed VI Champions Cup) round of 32 on Monday.
Striker Khaled Kamar scored the match s only goal from a penalty on minute 49 to boost the coastal side chances ahead of the second leg on 27 September in Alexandria.
Ittihad were eliminated from last year s edition after their loss to Saudi Arabia s Al-Hilal in the quarter final.
