Imprisonment of Coptic man renewed for 15 days and police arrest 90 defendants in the attacks

The Public Prosecution in Matai renewed today the imprisonment of Coptic man Abdo Adel Ayyad, 40, for 15 days, after he was accused of defamation of Islamic religion through sharing posts on Facebook.

It is worth mentioning that more than 90 defendants were arrested for attacking houses of the Copts.
 
Family of the Coptic man said he is illiterate and doesn t know how to read or write in addition to being a decent man.
 
Police have taken extra security measures to secure his family and to prevent further attacks on the Copts of the village.
