Back to a Dictatorship

In his last speech, Sisi tried to warn Egyptians from what he called, “The evil.” Sisi confirmed and emphasized that he will prevent any corrupted person from sitting on the Chair of Presidency.

Sisi was speaking as if he was a dictator who can allow and prevent whoever he wants from becoming President. I was hoping that Sisi would rely on the law and courts to prevent any corrupted people from electing themselves as a President. However, it appears that Sisi is relying only on himself, much like Dictators would.

All indications show that, without a doubt, Sisi will not step down from being President for what it seems at least 15 more years. Unfortunately, it seems that all of Sisi is actions have led everyone to believe that he will never leave the Chair of Presidency until a disaster occurs, much like each of his predecessors.

Sisi will be missing a great opportunity for people to remember him as paving the way for Egypt. I believe that Sisi should announce that he will not run for Presidency for a second period, and make an example of himself, proving to everyone that July 30th was not a coup.

It fact, it appears that each day, Sisi loses more and more of his supporters and credibility. He is allowing this to happen because of his desire and greed to keep himself as President.

In conclusion, I want to point out that Egypt is not in danger because of terrorism alone, but also because of Sisi. He is leading everyone to believe that he is the only one qualified to be President, and that, in turn, will lead Egypt down a dangerous path for the future
