25 days have passed since 4 Copts in Kharsa village were illegally detained in Fashn police station in Beni Suef. Two Copts have been released last week and 4 are still detained.
They were arrested after their houses were attacked by angry mobs after rumors about turning one house into a church, and their lawyer said they were arrested against the law.
It’s worth mentioning that 18 Muslim defendants were detained for extra 15 days pending investigation on charges of disturbing public peace and attacking private properties.
