Coptic Patriarch Pope Tawadros expressed his refusal to the demonstrations scheduled to be organized by Copts before the U.S White House on Tuesday.
The Copts in U.S decided to organize demonstrations before the White House to Express their protest against what they describe as persecution against Egypt’s Copts.
The Coptic pope added, in a statement published on Coptic World website, “I oppose any demonstrations that may harm Egypt and cause conflict with higher authorities.”
He stressed that such activities would not change the Copts’ position, while they would harm Egypt’s image on both national and international levels.
