Coptic Pope Tawadros II met with Ethiopian ecclesiastical delegation, headed by Secretary of Ethiopian Church’s Holy Synod Bishop Lukas, on Monday in Cairo’s St. Mark Cathedral, Youm7 reported.
The meeting was attended by Coptic Bishop Bemin, who serves as relations coordinator between the two churches.
The Ethiopian bishop’s visit comes to follow the ecclesiastical service of Ethiopian Christian community in Egypt and to ordinate a new priest.
Lukas held a meeting with the Ethiopian Christian community in the Coptic Cultural Center and visited a number of churches and monasteries.
