A policeman was killed after an armored vehicles crossed over a roadside bomb on the International Coastal Road in Arish, North Sinai, Youm7 reported Monday.A policeman was killed after an armored vehicles crossed over a roadside bomb on the International Coastal Road in Arish, North Sinai, Youm7 reported Monday.

The policeman was inspecting along with other conscripts when the planted bomb detonated in his armored vehicle.
 
The blast left three conscripts injured. A police hunt has been launched to comb the area and arrest the perpetrators.
 
Several roadside bombs have detonated under passing armored vehicles in attacks that resulted in hundreds of deaths among the armed forces and the police in North Sinai.  The attacks, mostly claimed by the Sinai-based militant group “Sinai Province,” have resulted in casualties among many civilians.
 
On Feb.22, a roadside bomb detonated off on the coast of Arish city, killing two civilians.
 
Militant attacks on police and army personnel as well as state institutions have been recurrent since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013 following a mass protest against his rule. According to the Interior Ministry, militant attacks have killed more than 500 security personnel since then.
