European Union of Coptic Organization for Human Rights EUCOHR demanded the abolition of contempt of religion law after Egyptian court has sentenced four Coptic Christian children to five years in prison on charges of defamation of religions and insulting Islamic sanctities.
It added that several Egyptians have been convicted recently on the same charges which raise fears that this law became a tool to harass minorities and repress freedoms.
