President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi will meet with a delegation from the Italian Senate’s Foreign Policy Commission Wednesday in Cairo for talks on bilateral ties and a number of regional and international issues, Youm7 reported.
Chaired by Pier Ferdinando Casini, the Italian delegation met with Egypt’s Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab Monday and discussed latest developments and possible peaceful solutions for the Libyan and Syrian crises, said Cabinet spokesperson Hossam Qaweesh in a statement.
Shortly after he took power in June 2014, Sisi visited several European countries in November including Italy where he and Italian President Giorgio Napolitano held talks on ways to reinforce bilateral ties and on the peace process in the Middle East.
Sisi is also scheduled Monday to meet with the Kuwaiti Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Mubarak al-Khurainij during the latter’s visit to Cairo, Youm7 reported.
