The Monastery of Jabal al-Tair receives about two million visitors to celebrate St. Mary feast that starts from next Thursday and lasts for one week.
Police said they will take extra procedures to secure the celebration and prevent potential terrorist attacks.
The Monastery of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located in Samalout, Minya governorate, is one of the places blessed by the visit of the Holy Family in Egypt.
