Pope Tawadros II, Pope of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark See, added during his meeting with the Egyptian delegation to attend the centennial anniversary of the Armenian genocide by the Turks that such horrible massacre targeted Armenians and Assyrians.
On the other hand, the Eastern Council of Churches held its first meeting in 50 years at Armenia in the presence of 6 churches. They are namely: the Egyptian, Ethiopian, Alarteran, Armenian, Syriac, and Indian Churches.
