Pope Francis presided over religious services attended by the Catholic Armenian Patriarch and Armenian President Serge Sargsian to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the terrible massacre committed by the Ottoman Turks against the Armenians, in which 1.5 million Armenians were killed and thousands were displaced to neighboring countries. He also described this as genocide. Soon, the Turkish government denounced the statement claiming that the Armenians were able to mislead the Pope as well as the people and fabricate the story. It also claimed that it was only a civil war in which both Armenians and Turks have suffered.
It’s worth mentioning that all academic studies documented the massacre with many painful humanitarian stories.
The Turkish regime threatened to turn Hagia Sophia museum into great mosque. It’s a clear message saying: “We will fight you O Crusaders”. It’s now a religious war!
After such tragedy, Turkey continue its crimes against humanity and threatens to turn the Hagia Sophia Museum, which was previously a great Christian cathedral seeded within the World Heritage, into a great mosque in order to remind the Europeans of their massacres and crimes under the Ottoman Empire.
All these crimes are only called a civil war by Turkey! Erdogan wants the world to simply forget about all of this as if they have done nothing to kill those innocent people.
