Gen. Salah Ziada, Minya governor, continued to violate the law and encouraging the fanatics to disrespect it. 36 people were arrested from the two parties including 15 Muslims and 21 Copts. The Muslims refused to compensate the Coptic Christians for their losses after their shops and houses were attacked and looted by fanatic mobs.
Father Dawod Nashed, deputy of Samalout Diocese, refused to subdue tothe terms of militants who offered to allow building one floor of church without lighthouse and dome.
 
 
The militants continue to provoke, insult and curse the Copts in the village, while security forces are getting ready to prevent any potential clashes between the two parities.
